Göran Eriksson, CEO, Port of Gothenburg
Göteborgs Hamn supports DSM2025 as Partner. What contributed to make this decision?
We are an essential part of the shipping community and as such it is important to support the industry to thrive. Being partner to DSM is one way of fulfilling that promise.
What makes DSM different from other exhibitions in your opinion?
It offers many different perspectives on the industry, which is hard to find elsewhere.
What are your expectations for DSM2025
I expect interesting discussions about how the shipping industry can continue develop to offer even better services to shippers.
What do you find are the opportunities and challenges in the Shipping Industry today?
With global events such as climate change, war and new tariffs, it is not hard to find challenges. However, I’m optimistic that all these events eventually will offer new opportunities and I strongly believe that many of the participants at DSM will be prepared to tackle these challenges.
How would you describe DSM in one sentence?
DSM is the most vibrant shipping event anywhere around.
What is your best memory from DSM2023?
Probably the visit to one of the tankers, closely followed by discussions with ship operators about the energy transition.
And finally, do you prefer a sail or a motorboat for recreation, and why so?
Well, that’s a hard pick. Currently I’m having a motorboat but I have had sailing boats previously. I would say I sailing boat after all, since the wind is abundant.
