The Swedish Club – DSM2025 Gold Sponsor

Fredrik Bergqvist, Area Manager for Team Sweden at The Swedish Club.
The Swedish Club supports DSM2025 as a Gold Sponsor. What contributed to this decision?
DSM is a key gathering for the Swedish maritime industry, bringing together shipowners, operators, and key stakeholders in an environment that fosters meaningful discussions and long-term partnerships. As a mutual marine insurer, The Swedish Club values this platform for engaging with members, brokers, and industry peers, making our continued support a natural choice.
What makes DSM different from other exhibitions, in your opinion?
DSM stands out due to its unique location, its strong focus on the shipowner community, and the personal atmosphere.
What are your expectations for DSM2025?
We look forward to reconnecting with our members and partners, discussing key developments in the shipping industry, and contributing to the exchange of knowledge. We also hope to gain insights into how the industry is adapting to new regulations, sustainability challenges, and evolving market conditions.
What is your best memory from DSM2023?
One of the highlights was the warm and welcoming atmosphere throughout the event. DSM2023 truly reinforced the value of face-to-face interactions and the strength of our industry network.
What do you find are the opportunities and challenges in the shipping industry today?
The industry is undergoing significant transformation, with decarbonization, digitalization, and regulatory changes shaping the future. While these present challenges, they also offer great opportunities for innovation, collaboration, and the development of more sustainable and efficient operations. At The Swedish Club, we focus on supporting our members through these changes with risk management expertise and tailored insurance solutions.
How would you describe DSM in one sentence?
A uniquely personal and high-quality event that brings the maritime industry together for meaningful discussions and lasting connections.
And finally, do you prefer a sail or a motorboat for recreation, and why?
I prefer a motorboat for recreation—it offers flexibility, speed, and the ability to explore different places efficiently while still allowing me to enjoy time on the water. Plus, my wife and kids aren’t letting me buy a sailboat.
