La Gaylia

The Banquet will take place in the exhibition area with capacity for 2,100 seated guests. The Banquet hosts more guests than the Nobel banquet in the Stockholm City Hall! LaGaylia will perform together with singers from the island of Donsö, the Ocean Vocals, at the Banquet dinner on September 2, 2025. The audience will find it hard not to dance when LaGaylia, musicians and choir singers fill the stage!

LaGaylia was born in Miami, Florida and had a lucrative career in the US, appearing in several tv shows and movies being managed by Frank Sinatra’s manager, Eliot Weisman. But in the year 2000 she was seen by a Swedish agent who would prove to change her life dramatically. Marie Schröder was correct in assuming a career was waiting to be had in Sweden. LaGaylia first hit the Swedish market touring with a television broadcasted show called Rhapsody in Rock headed by Robert Wells. Her success would lead her to go on to perform with Sweden’s elite, including Putte Wickman, Lill-Babs, Jan Lundgren, Povel Ramel, Anders Berglund, Helen Sjöholm and currently with Håkan Hellström, even being asked twice to perform at Sweden’s very own Crown Princess Victorias annual birthday celebration. She has performed on many Swedish television programs and was a judge on Swedens Talang for 5 seasons. She can currently be seen performing all across Sweden in her extremely successful tribute to Tina Turner entitled “Tina and Me”.
