Nordkompass Fire Safety Award 2023

During the Banquet dinner, Joel Smith, G.D, Swedish Maritime Administration, had the honor to hand out the Nordkompass Fire Safety Award 2023. The price was awarded to the crew of Stena Scandinavica, in particular Martina Thowsen, Watchkeeping AB, for acting fast and correctly, with competence and courage, preventing a potential fire on cargo deck of Stena Scandinavica earlier this year. Bengt Viknander, Master, Stena Line Scandinavia, received the award on behalf of the crew.
