Interview with Christopher Askheim, General Manager & Elin Kristensson, Managing Director at Northern Energy & Supply.

Northern Energy and Supply supports DSM2023 as Silver Sponsor. What contributed to make this decision?
Elin – We are a Donsö based comapany and we think it is really important for us to support DSM2023, it is a given choice for us.
Christopher – It feels very good to contribute and to be a part of DSM and make it possible for it to grow with more visitors and exhibitors.

What are your expectations for DSM2023
Christopher – We are really excited to meet both new and existing customers that take time to come to Donsö and visit the exhibition. That is going to be much fun. We are also looking forward to showing what N-E-S has to offer, what we think of the future and meeting with our customers, hearing about their needs regarding alternative fuels.

What is your best memory from DSM2022?
Elin – One of my best memories are all of the interesting meetings with customers, suppliers and colleagues from the industry.
Christopher – And of course, the evening dinner with good food, company and performances.

What do you find are the opportunities and the biggest challenges in the Shipping Industry today?
Christopher – I would say what the future holds regarding alternative fuels both is an opportunity and one of the biggest challenges for the industry. What should we as a company go for and what do we think our customers will choose?
Elin – It is really important for us to be on time with the right product and listen to what our customers need.

How would you describe DSM in one word?
Best!

And finally, what is your best maritime memory?
We have two, first is when we had our first offshore lube oil delivery by barge with M/V Supplier in Gothenburg RDS. And second is when our vessel Northern Skagerrak was completed as a hybrid vessel.
