Welcome and introduction – to the seminar and the subject – Moderator Åsa Burman, director Lighthouse  and Anders Hermansson, CEO, Swedish Shipowners’ Association

Åsa Burman is the Director of Lighthouse, a Swedish collaboration platform for research and innovation in the maritime sector. She has a background in energy and port operations, and has also worked with large-scale demonstration projects in the field. At Lighthouse, she and her colleagues facilitate collaboration between academia, industry, and public stakeholders, with a focus on sustainable maritime development across all areas – from energy and environment to safety, digitalization, and logistics.

Anders Hermansson has served as CEO of the Swedish Shipowners’ Association since 2022, having initially joined the organization as Deputy CEO in 2018.
Before that, he was Head of the Strategy and Development Section at the Swedish Transport Agency. Anders holds a Master’s degree in Political Science and Economics from Lund University. Earlier in his career, he worked as a senior advisor at the Ministry of Enterprise, Energy and Communications, was responsible for the development of the government's maritime strategy and marine policy.

What´s on in EU – RD&I programs for the waterborne sector and funding possibilities – Jaap Gebraad, Secretary- General, Waterborne TP

Jaap has worked for about 10 years as Board Secretary and Senior Project Manager of the "Bureau Innovation Research & Development" of the Foundation STC Group. He was also the Daily Secretary of the European Association EDINNA (Education in Inland Navigation). From 2018 to March 2022, Jaap was Director Research and Development Affairs at SEA Europe and Executive-Director of the Waterborne Technology Platform. Jaap holds a Bachelor's Degree in Logistics and Economics of the University of Applied Sciences (HES) in Rotterdam.

Refinery development – from fossil feedstock to renewables – Henrik Rådberg, Manager New opportunities, Preem

Henrik Rådberg holds an M.Sc. in Biotechnology from Chalmers University of Technology and currently leads the New Opportunities team at Preem. With over 15 years of experience in advancing renewable fuels and industrial transformation, he has led several strategic projects related to the future of fuels. These include the development of new feedstock streams for HVO and SAF, as well as technology assessments of emerging production processes. The New Opportunities team plays a central role in evaluating and driving Preem’s production transition plan, both independently and in collaboration with academia, startups, and industry partners. Henrik is a frequent speaker and contributor in discussions on technological shifts, climate neutrality, and the regulatory landscape for energy and fuel transition.

Claes Möller is the CEO of Terntank and have prior to this position worked in several positions at Terntank – onboard the vessels as well as onshore.
